When Vivian Bullwinkel passed away on 3 July 2000, her family, friends and the entire nursing profession were faced with the question of how best to honour this extraordinary woman.
Eventually it was decided that a living memorial that would contribute to the future of the nursing profession was the most fitting tribute that could be made to the woman who had devoted her life to nursing.
